Kung Fu (功夫) means "to be skilled or expert," and is not confined to martial arts usage. A great chef could be said to have Kung Fu, as could a doctor; however, the term is generally used to describe the wide variety of traditional Chinese boxing systems.
Our traditional Kung Fu program includes the following:
- warm-ups and conditioning exercises (jibengong)
- stance training
- open-hand forms (talou)
- traditional Chinese weapons
- two-person drills
- joint locks and submissions (chin na)
- break-falling
- sparring (san shou)
